Prince William packed a lot into his final year - this shot is from a session playing pool with friends at a pub in St Andrews, Scotland in November 2004. Five months later the Prince attended the wedding of his father and long-term mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles, at the Guildhall registry office in Windsor. William seemed a touch anxious and kept patting the left pocket of his waistcoat, where he had the wedding rings safely deposited
